We can provide training to our client’s support workers so that they can safely assist the client in a pool. We are also happy to offer training to other health care professionals on aspects of aquatic therapy, individually or in groups.

We are able to offer aquatic therapy assessments to clients with complex disabilities or needs, such as those with tracheostomies or who are ventilated.

We can also conduct risk assessments for clients who have their own aquatic therapy pools, which will consider safe access/egress, emergency evacuation and safe operating procedures.

We can provide a full assessment and report of an individual’s response to aquatic therapy, should this be required for insurance claims. This may include the use of outcome measures to demonstrate the effectiveness of aquatic physiotherapy versus other water based treatments.

The assessment may include an assessment in a swimming pool as well as a hydrotherapy pool to identify if the warmth of the water is important. We also have a access to a jacuzzi, so can see if a hot tub or jacuzzi bath may be helpful to the individual to manage their symptoms. These assessments may also consider type, frequency and duration of treatment.

Should clients require such assessments, it may be required for the client to visit on several occasions in one day or week. On such occasions, accommodation is available locally in order for this to happen.
